The boys played with legos for hours today. Liam was so proud of his creation that he brought it down to baba who proudly displayed it on his shelf in his office. Liam felt bad and went back upstairs to get Shaun's creation and brought that down to be displayed as well. They also played school. They each took a page from a math workbook, then corrected each other's work. Liam loved finding Shaun's mistakes! He does great with adding and subtracting but I worry about the whole "language" of math that we have here in the US. One step at a time and it will come, I'm sure but I cant help but worry. He knows the alphabet, not really phonics yet. We'll be working over the summer on phonics and hopefully reading. He's a realy good reader of mandarin. We are going to try to keep his mandarin language while he learns english.
We signed both boys up for Tae Kwon do today. Liam was excited that Shaun would join him. The best part (for Liam, not so much for Shaun) is that the instructor speaks mandarin.
So far we have not run into any food issues. He had chicken parmesan and pasta for dinner, beef stir fry and tater tots for lunch, rice and sausage for breakfast. He loves carrots, green beans and corn.
Things continue to progress like it's a dream. He is a truly amazing child.
