The Emperor Chronicles: Fun weekend

We had a great weekend. We forayed beyond the local stuff for the first time with Liam. I have avoided places with large crowds until he had more english but we felt we needed to strike out before school started and practice what we've been telling him. We will always know where he is... He was hesitant at first but eventually let loose and had a great time. He definitely needs to know where everyone is at all times but he was comfortable and had fun. He's been latching on to Rich a lot lately. He recounted some fond memories of he and his china baba with our friend and he seems to be trying to recreate that feeling with Rich. Lots of riding on shoulders..(not easy with a kid in the 75th percentile for weight) If Liam is given an option to ride in mama's car with me, or baba's car with him, baba wins hands down! I've caught him taking Rich's hand while they walk, which is very sweet. Shaun has always been a hand holder. Rich even commented that he was the only one leaving the baseball field after a game who was holding the hand of a parent. I just love that about him. He's very open with his affection. Liam is working on it.

He held up the entire group of people driving behind him. He barely made the 48 inch height requirement and reaching the pedal was a challenge.
