We had a visit from a friend from China on Monday. She spoke with Liam for 2 hours and we learned a lot about him including that he remembers his birth family and the circumstances that brought him to the orphanage. Needless to say, we are emotionally drained, strained and understand a few things about why he's done some of the things he's done.
We are planning on a vacation to Cape Cod next week, our annual end of the summer fling! I hope Liam likes it. We are beach people but Liam has taken a little longer to get used to actually being outside in warm weather so treks to the beach this summer have been limited. Hopefully he will go into the ocean during our vacation even though he told us he wont because the sharks will kill him. Oh boy. He is afraid of so much. Just wait til Maddie starts bringing us her pails of sea creatures. That should send him right over the edge.

So sorry to hear you are going through this. In the long run hopefully it will help Liam heal. We had a rough week with Drew also so maybe it has to do with being home this length of time. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
