For the second year in a row, Brittany has been honored with an award for academic excellence. The local Rotary club in partnership with her High School awards the top 25 (unweighted GPA) students in each class. They call it the Century Club for that reason. Last night 100 students were inducted into the club. Brittany who would like to blend in with the woodwork just LOVES being front and center! NOT. She begged us to sneak out after her award so we didnt miss the premier of So You Think You Can Dance, one of her favorites. So, as usual, my moment of watching my daughter receive such a distinction was short lived. I savored every moment, right down to the group photo and the grabbing of my arm and a quick exit out the door, to the parking lot and home...
Oh well.. Next year, she will be a Junior and they are awarded later. Poor Brit will have to stay a little longer. And, if she is honored in her senior year, we might get to see THE WHOLE award ceremony. Woo Hoo
