Our I800 approval, our NVC letter and the DS230 were overnighted to Guangzhou last night. That's the last of the documents we need to provide to China. I cant believe how arduous this process has been. It seems like we have been filling out paperwork and fulfilling obligations for a year. Actually, i'ts almost been a year since we first saw Liam.
Our NVC approval was cabled to Guangzhou on 4/20. Surprisingly we got the NVC letter stating that we'd been cabled just 3 days later. For some silly reason, Guangzhou not only requires the cable but the letter saying we've been cabled even though Guangzhou HAS THE CABLE! Go figure.
Next, we wait for article 5. No clue what that is, just that it needs to go from Guangzhou to Beijing about 2 weeks after they get it. From there, Beijing will issue our travel approval and we can go get the little guy... while he's still a little guy.
Airfare prices have doubled since the World expo opened in Shanghai.. Lucky us.

Congrats on being down to the final countdown! (it's not very fun). I know these airline prices are killing me,,,but what can we do about it! lol
